Wow, seems pretty harsh. I look at the schedule and
realize that everybody who competes will be following
the same schedule. I guess I could complain that the
only two events that I want to do are on the same day
(points race and madison). I would prefer them to be on
seperate days so I won't be so tired. Should the
schedule be changed to please me? Probably not. Each
individual racer probaly wishes the schedule favored
them according to what events they specialize in.
However, I am just happy that somebody is willing to
organize, officiate, set up the timing equipment, and
all that it takes to do this race.

OK. I guess Rule 21 is in effect. Based on what I personally consider is
the most ridulous schedule (about as ludicrous as the first published 2000
USCF Masters Track Natz, which then changed two more times) I've seen in a
while, I'll probably not compete.
Does anybody else out there feel the same way, or am I just p_ssing into the
wind?
Can I get a logical explanation for this non-sensical schedule listed below?
Also, what happened to the 2000m TT for 50 and over?
OBRA Masters Track Championships
Sept 7 & 8
Racing starts 10 am Saturday & Sunday
Saturday - Sept 7
3000 meter pursuit
Olympic Sprints
200 meter time trials to seed for sprints
Sprint rounds
Sunday - Sept 8
Points Races
1000 & 500 meter time trials
Madison
Categories:
Masters 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55+ (May be combined if less
than
5 participants in individual category Masters women 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,
45+
Team events (Olympic Sprint & Madison)
All riders over 30 - single category
Here is what is normally used as a track championship schedule:
DAY ONE:
+ 500 m TT
+ 1000m TT
+ 200m TT (seed for sprints)
+ Sprint Rounds
+ Olympic Sprints
DAY TWO
+ 2000m TT
+ 3000m TT
+ Points Races
+ Madison
What's wrong with "sprint events" on Day One and "endurance events" on Day
Two? Doing the 500m and 1000m TTs after a points race is nuts.

Candi --
Standard schedule for championship track events begins with 500m and 1000m
TTs. I hope you are planning to start on Sat am with these two events?
Pursuits should be on Sun am. Please don't pick on us lowly (and injured)
kilo guys...
Thanks,
