Tonight I am creaky and utterly spent.
What an insane, stupid, amazing, challenging, rewarding course.

Race report here:

Thank you so much to OBRA, the race promoter and all the volunteers who made today happen so smoothly. Extra-special thanks to all the Women Singlepseeders who gave a master class in strength and grace. It was an honor to be schooled by you. Let's do it again next year.

Though I Ilke most Cross courses this was my absolute favorite of the ones I did this year. I good climb, technical mud and great off camber. I wish more course were like this one. Skill and fitness hand in hand.

seconded. absolute SWEETEST off-camber all season - that
long-sweeping-off-camber-left-to-180-right-to long
sweeping-off-camber-left-to-runup section is giving the barlow drop-in to
runup a serious run for its money as my hands-down favorite course feature
ive ridden in oregon. the long uphill killed me, running too big a gear
for that - sapped any chance i had of a decent finish, but between course
conditions and the entire rest of the course, im gonna have to say it was
my favorite course all year. only thing i wouldve liked to see was more
than just a single barrier, but ill live. a sufferfest, which is just how
i like it.

thanks! heres hoping we see that course again (if i get my way, ill have a
smaller gear, and therell be more rain day of race :) )

Great course! The group who designed it need to be acknowledged. The sponsors, volunteers, OBRA and school are super for working to help us race there, but whoever put the course together..... Thank you so very much. Right at the top of my list of courses this year. It would have been a fun course even if dry! If I had better fitness, I could have been faster, but that did not keep me from having a total blast. I may not have looked like I was smiling on the outside, but inside it was like I was being tickled! Hope the school does not think we damaged areas too much! Lawn can grow back and mud washes off of sidewalks and pavement. And a large number of juniors and adults had good healthy fun!
Our first High School State Cyclocross Champs were awarded today at West Salem High School. Was there a High School Team Champ named? Individual medals are great, but team win would be sweet.
