Melanie Rathe
John, Your passion for the junior racers is commendable! When I told Jacob how many junior cross racers have been attending the series his eyes were wide open in amazement. Only a few short years ago he was racing junior cyclocross and would have loved to have the number of riders we've seen this year. THANK YOU John for all your hard work. I can hardly wait until next year ;o)

All the High School team coaches & Parents
I could not have done this without all of you. Thanks so much!
All right, final series wrap ups.
First an apology. I missed the following racers in chaos of trying to crunch the final Salem event.
Stephen Roberts
Zach Mikkelson
Cameron Beard
My sincerest apologies that your podium opportunity was messed up. Additionally there were a few first time racers that inadvertently caused a shuffle in the Boys 11-12 results. None of the series winners, Womens, or High School results were affected by any of this, but a few of the mens placings were miss-ordered. Again I am very sorry. I know how important this is to everyone and I feel terrible. All is in the process of being taken care of. This was an important learning experience to set up an improved process for next year.

A note on the High School Team competition. This was exceptionally close. It came down to two points between Corvallis United and Team Summit. Corvallis United had a 10 point lead going into the final race and Team Summit almost made up the difference. Just to get that, it was two points out of 399 total points. About one half a percent. That is close. If there had been a Men’s only Team competition Team Summit would have completely dominated. Perhaps this can be an addition for next year. If there had been a Women’s only Team division Corvallis United would have lead into the final race but lost it to the Cyclocats (Corvallis United only finished two women in the final race).
Grand Prize Winners:
Kona Jake: Sharon Hart
Rolf Prima Wheelset: Anthony Vandervelden
52 Conquest Frame/Fork: Mikeala Saltzberg

Some junior Stats:
2009 top 20 most attended (junior) races in OBRA
Average = 29

2010 top 20 most attended (junior) races in OBRA
Average = 42
Max = 104
2009 Junior Cyclocross Series (7 races)

2010 Junior & High School Cyclocross Series (7 races)
Average = 69
Max = 104
High School only races (5 races)
Average = 83
Max = 104
Numbers are definitely up!
We had 165 unique racers in the Junior Age Series racing 479 times over the 7 races.
We had 62 unique High School racers in the HS series racing 182 times over the 5 races.
The largest age category was the Mens 15-16 with 43 racers. The smallest was the Womens 13-14 with 5 racers.
There were 10 regional High School teams with an average of 6 racers per team. Max of 10 (two teams – Corvallis United, and Roseburg Step Up).
OK that is it until next year. Good luck juniors at the USGP and Nationals. I will be cheering for all of you. If you have any questions, want to inquire about setting up a High School team for next year don’t hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely
John Wilson
