PIR in for a rough ride/thousands of people think so now

That's why everyone interested should join Friends of PIR!
http://www.friendsofpir.com/fopir/index.php

They do good work, most recently fighting against a big-shot developer who was stirring up the neighbors (even supplied them w/ decibel-meters, isn't that nice?), lobbying to turn the entire area into high-end condos.
That particular threat probably isn't really gone, just shelved.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] PIR in for a rough ride/thousands of people think so now

Hi All
Yeah he is clueless, but it is now his voice many thousands of people have
heard and they only know his clueless view. Has someone that travels the USA
has a bike advocate (mostly mountain biking to be honest, but I do sit in on all
type of bike access and safety issues). I will say this is 100% true... those
who get heard and are involved get things done. If you all just blow this guy
off you could be sorry in the end. Think about the thousands of people that
might now share this guys view because they don't know better and wouldn't take
the time to check the facts.
Sounds like some of your city council is already leaning towards this guys
views.
I would HIGHLY suggest you all get organized and let the city know how much PIR
means to you and others.
Good luck

Inadequately researched.

Clueless.
