FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Elkhorn Classic Stage Race returns in 2011 for
a 10-year celebration

Baker City, OR (December 17, 2010) -

Elkhorn Classic Stage Race organizers proudly announce that
the race will return in 2011 marking a very special 10-year anniversary.  The Elkhorn Classic will take place
June 17 - 19, 2011 in Baker City, Oregon.
Registration will open for all categories in mid-January and is limited
to the first 450 overall riders.

 "We are
excited to have reached such a special milestone, to be able to celebrate the
10th anniversary of this great race," said Race Director Ernie
Conway.  He added, "Every year
both returning and new riders comment on how special and unique the Elkhorn
Classic is and that is a reputation we are very proud of."  Conway noted that what makes Elkhorn
exceptional is not only the race itself, but the incredible community support
and citizen involvement going on behind the scenes each and every year:  “Many communities simply tolerate a big
event, but Baker City continues to exceed our expectations as our host city.”

The Elkhorn Classic Stage Race is a 3-day, 4-stage bicycle
race in and around the Elkhorn Mountains located in Baker County, Oregon. The
race is headquartered at Baker High School in Baker City, making for racer-friendly
logistics. The scenic road stages are challenging, allowing elite riders and
teams to coordinate strategic planning, but a no-time-cut policy means that
newer riders can focus on finishing. Novice and Elite pelotons all race the
same course and distance, creating a spirited bond between racers who know that
every other finisher has accomplished the same feat.  A spectator-friendly time-trial with a finish through closed
downtown streets, later serving as the course for an afternoon of criterium races,
creates an exciting atmosphere for participants, teams, and families. With
quality fields from all over the Western US and Canada, the Elkhorn Classic
Stage Race, now in its tenth year, has established itself as one of the premier
stage races on the racing calendar.
