I feel compelled to point out that you might be able to see the number through this and other clear jackets but that does not mean that the finish line cameras will be able to take a readable picture through it. Given that most people can pick only 3 to 5 riders visually we have to rely on cameras so it is unlikely that we will be able to place you in any race if you are wearing a clear jacket over your number.

Some may counter that they do not care about their placing unless they are at the front. Unfortunately the judges don't know who cares and who doesn't which leads to spending a lot of time trying to sort out people with poorly visible numbers.

Hopefully this will not restart an RFID tag thread.
