pretty simple really.

not sure what else you need for ebay advice.

its too bad you dont support the bike gallery. They do a lot of work
to support cycling in Oregon. Not only do they support racing
(Krugers Farm CX was awesome), but they also work hard to make cycling
accessible to a lot of non-cyclists though community outreach, bta,
and supporting planned event rides.

if you dont want to buy new...CL is a great place for bits, the obra
list is too. Sellwood has great deals on used frame sets and other
parts. The nice part about buying local is at least some of the cash
stays in your community. And then generally gets put back into said
community. Cycle of life thing.

So I've gotten some feed back to my ebay advice post mainly about quality of no name chinese brands. Valid points were made.
There is a lot of other stuff out there on ebay. So how about advice just on dealing with ebay.

Funny story about the chinese bike that looks like a pinerrelo (not that I was looking at that frame). On some bike forum this guy buys one of the look a like frame and then gets a custom paint job to make it look like a pinerello, even to having pinerello painted on it. Someone commented he was an idiot, because all said and done he paid just as much as if he just bought the real thing.
