WTB: Shimano 105 or better braze-on front derailleur

Haverty, Chris

Anyone have a Shimano 105 or better braze-on front derailleur to sell or trade
for my DA clamp-on (31.8mm, I think) fd?

Thanks,
Chris

I have a toe clip strap running through each buckle holder. that is to say the
loop of webbing that holds the buckle on the flap, also has a toe clip strap
running through it (well one through each). close bag, put wheel on bag, use toe
clip straps to hole it on and go!

you may need to experiment, as I tend to load them too low, then when i try to
ride they hit my keister.

happy to send a pic off list if this wasn't clear. I've been doing this since
the mid 1980s and have carried all sorts of stuff this way. works great 4yoga
mats now (oh how we change!)

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Carrying a wheel on a messenger bag

Say, you folks that ride your bikes to races and carry a wheel.. help me
out, please.

I am bringing a wheel to a bike shop in town and would like to just carry it on
my bike. I tried to put it under the flap of my messenger bag and close the
straps over a spoke. The wheel just hangs down too low and hits my rear
wheel. What are the tricks to making the wheel sit up higher? I have the medium
Timbuktu bag.

I suppose you can just bungie the wheel to the closed bag, but I thought there
was a more elegant solution than that, that didn't require extra devices.
