I'll also chime in...i use WIN detergent and cold/cold cycle. For me, this works very well and is not too expensive. You can find that at Fred Meyer.

If your clothes are expesive:
Wash after each wearing
Store in bag with air circulation after a ride
Take care of your clothes immediately after you get home
Rinse heavily soiled stuff before wash. If you can scrap it, wash it.
Wash per manufacturer instructions.
Use a special cleaner. I second the vote on BioClean for its cost
effectiveness.
Dry each garment as specified on the tag.
