Masters Categories's

Peter's statement sums up my point best about categorizing Masters races

only for cat 3/4's. It is sad when racers are not allowed to race in their

respective Master age group.

Quite true. I live in Alaska and the racing season is short, the competitors

low in number. You might see 5 guys in an expert masters race. No velodrome,

no cyclocross.

That is the case in many places. Oregon has OBRA, excellent varieties of

racing and race courses, not to mention awesome volunteers that make it all

work.

Be thankful

Man.......I don't see any problem with the way the catagories are. (Except

for the fact that there isn't one for 170# guys with green

cannondales).Just

Kidding. And my Dad gets the short end of the stick in the 50+ there outa

be

a 70+ Category. Other than that. Some people are just faster than others

and

always will be. Probably because they are willing to sacrifice just a

little

more and train harder. Just being brave enough to go to the start line, or

just finishing the race. Is a pretty good win in my book. Its sad that

people can't be happy with just being able to show up and race.
