Re: Monthly Skill builder (The Competent Climber) Opps!

Sorry ladies, the height and weight was a bit male centric. I should
have added the female equivalent to 5'6" and 135 lbs. What is that about
5'2" and 110 lbs?

My bad, I was fully awake yet.

Cheers,

Steve

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Monthly Skill builder (The Competent Climber)

Only two more of these skill building rides left before the road racing
season starts in February.

This Saturday's ride will focus on the skill of climbing.

Okay, so you're not 5'6" and 135 lbs. Does that mean you can't learn to
climb competently? Of course it doesn't but it does take practice and if
you want to climb competently, you have to go out and climb. Plus, a few
basic skills will help tremendously.

Okay so it's New Years day and maybe you partied the night before. Sorry
if you're hung-over. J

If not, we will do some peddling mechanics drills followed by a few
climbs so we can practice what we learned in the drills.

I will need a minimum of five people to do this free skill building
clinic so please RSVP if you plan to attend.

While I will be out of the office starting tomorrow through Sunday, I
will check this e-mail account to responders.

Ride start location: Sellwood Riverfront Park parking lot (next to Oak's
Park @ SE Spokane & Oaks Park Way).

Start Time: 9:30 AM

Ride Duration: about 3 hours with possible bailout points for those
needing to get back sooner.

Rider leader: Wenzel Coach, Steve Long
