Paging: Your Muscles

This is a shout out to your muscles. Please tell your keeper that you are tired of being used for work all the time without an occasional thank you or so much as a warm bath to help them relax.

To the muscle owners - most of you are treating your body like the round-town beater bike...no maintenance, no love. Maybe the occasional tire pump or new batteries in the lights, but certainly not the regular maintenance that keeps everything working nicely.

Like brushing and flossing your teeth, doing some maintenance work on your body and muscles should be a daily habit if you want to recover and feel good. An efficient routine can be done in 5-10 minutes, or you can spend longer on days when you need more. Your reward is fewer aches and pains, faster recovery, and amused looks from your significant other, children and pets.

One of the most effective ways to reduce tension in your muscles is through the self-myofascial release + stretching combo: Work out the knots and restore flexibility to your muscles and joints.

With this in mind I will be teaching a workshop Saturday Jan 8th from 9:00 - 11:00 am. We will be learning about how to take better care of our bodies through self myofascial release (foam roller, trigger point ball, etc) and stretching/mobilization joints.

Additional details about the workshop can be found at:

Your body and muscles are probably crying quietly right now - do something about it!
