Candi,

Does EVERYTHING race related (notices, flyers, results, changes of any kind) go out on the OBRA race chat? Or do you need to be on this list to be sure you don't miss any of that?

I disagree. I think it is a perfect use of this list.

Mr Greenlick,

I have recently read your statement on HB 2228 regarding your motivations
for introducing the safety bill. In that statement you cite an OHSU study
that finds that nearly 1/3 of the bicycle commuting community suffers
traumatic injury each year. As an avid cyclist it leads me to question why
are we not addressing the root problem instead of chasing an issue that you
admit to have no data on at all? While some trauma is self inflicted, I know
from many "close encounters" the biggest threat to a cyclist commuting is
automotive.

I am pleased to see your concern with the safety of children and cyclist,
but I encourage you to rethink your approach and address the larger issues.
Issues that you do have empirical data on, if you need help collecting
further data I am sure the bicycle transportation alliance would be more
than willing to assist you and even help you with your efforts to serve the
cycling community.

Respectfully,
