If you are looking for a cycling team to train or race with in 2011,
CycleOne Racing is a Washington County based team that is looking to expand
our roster to include a larger number of women, masters and juniors. With
lots of camaraderie, we have had a great time this year. Our goal is to
continue in that vein as we grow, and to create an ever stronger presence in
the OBRA racing scene.

CycleOne Coaching provides you with everything you need to get started in
the sport of competitive cycling, regardless of your discipline. CycleOne
Racing will offer a two-tiered structure this year to provide you with
greater flexibility and affordability. Team members can choose either a
coached or non-coached option depending on their needs. Coached members pay
$350 for the season, while non-coached team members pay a fee of $100. This
includes daily training guidelines, a free subscription to the Training
Peaks training journal, nutritional guidance, and race day support, as well
as significant discounts on all professional services such as bike fitting,
lactate testing, and Dartfish video analysis. CycleOne also offers monthly
seminars, training camps, and general fitness training.

CycleOne Coaching is currently conducting 90 minute cycling classes at the
state-of-the-art training facility of Athlete’s Lounge in NW Portland. This
sports performance facility is the perfect venue for indoor power based
cycling classes without the added expense of a power meter. Using the
advanced technology developed by CompuTrainer, we have the ability to
replicate real road conditions while storing performance data for future
comparison.

And what about the real experience of outdoor training? We are currently
riding on the roads on Monday mornings at 10:30. These rides are 3 to 4
hours in duration and the pace is moderate for building base fitness. Once
we approach the start of the racing season, the road rides will shift
emphasis to climbing, with great terrain in west Portland for hill
training. As well, the mt. bike team trains on Sundays at 11:00 at Jackson
Woods Forest Preserve in Hillsboro. Whenever the weather allows, we ride the
Banks-Vernonia State Trail. All are welcome to join us for the winter
training at no charge.

These are just a few of the reasons you should consider joining CycleOne. For
