Mt. Hood Cycling Classic
Dear NW Racers,
We are excited to announce that registration for the 2011 Mt. Hood Cycling Classic is now open at http://www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com/registration/ We have a really cool event lined up this year for all those ready for the challenge. We are fine tuning some of the last little details and look to have all the stage info up by the end of January. A couple of important things to note. Due to U.S. Pro Championships moving to Memorial Day weekend we are having to move the start of this year's event back to Thursday June 2nd with the Panorama Point Prologue for the Pro 1-2 Men and Women in order to accomodate travel time for riders and teams. All other categories will start with the stage 1 road race on Friday June 3rd. We will also be consolidating the TT and the Crit to both be on Saturday to better accomodate peoples schedules.
We have a suprise for eveyone. We are bringing back an classic mountain stage that helped define the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic into the race it is today. It will take the place of year's WyEast Road Race. We are very excited to have this course back for 2011. More details coming soon!
Finally to celebrate our 9th year of the event Mt. Hood Meadows our longest running sponsor of the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic has given us free anytime, all day lift tickets to give out as prizes. So we have a registration contest for all of you! Here it is.
Be the 10th, 50th, and 100th person to sign up online and receive one free all day lift ticket at Mt. Hood Meadows ($67 Value). We will notify winners via Twitter and Facebook so you must be a follower on either of these to find out if you have won and claim your prize. In addition we will be posting frequent course and race updates on both social media outlets. To keep up dated on this as well as results come race day, visit www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com and click on the icons on the right hand side of the screen.
We are excited to be hosting the 2011 Mt. Hood Cycling Classic for a 9th year. We hope to see all of you at the start line!
Sincerely,
