These routes were used several times back in the day for the Willamette Valley Stage Race. West Brush Creek is one of the toughest climbs in the area. Watch out descending for Moss, tree fall, etc. These roads are not used often.

Yes, both Shotgun Creek Rd and Brush Creek Rd are paved and passable. Both go from Marcola out from Shotgun Creek Park to Crawfordsville. Make sure you study the map well, as there are a couple of intersections that are not marked. It is pretty remote up there. Not sure you should do it alone. Bring your climbing legs and beware of some of the trickiest, most awesome descents around. One of my favorite rides.
