The track is still free of rain, although that could of course change by 6pm. But there is an issue with parking with the go-carts in town this weekend. I hear the track is very full of campers etc. So please car pool if you come out to the track tonight - parking will likely be on the back side - if we can get there. It will likely be a light session anyways with the possible rain, no officials but me :), and no announcer.

So I will be there at 5:30pm regardless and post again at 4:30 or so to let you know about the rain.

Here is the schedule for this week, and note that I screwed up last week so

the third Larry Burkey series race will be this friday the same night as the

4th at marymoor.

We had a weak women's turnout last week, so if you are a master's novice who

has been showing up I would not worry about all them fast cat 4s making the

race to hard.

Everyone should be doing three races now, so here is the schedule: Note

Master's C are first

Masters C    12 lap Point-a-lap

Masters B    12 lap Tempo (2, 1)

Women        18 lap Paced Points Race

Juniors          12 lap Scratch Race (Larry Burkey Event)

Masters A    18 lap Progressive Points Race

Masters C     24 lap Paced Points Race

Masters B    18 lap Jokers Points Race (Sprints every 2, one deep)

Women        Miss-n-Out or Points Race(TBD)

Juniors          Point a Lap or Paced Points

Masters A    24 Lap Sprinters Points Race (Sprints every 3)

Masters C    20 Lap Points Race

Women        Handicap

Juniors          Handicap

Masters B    Long Points Race

Masters A    Long Points Race

Sprinter Points: In a sprinter points race you can not lose laps or gain

laps. Lapped riders can sprint

and score points as long as they were not lapped the lap before or during

the bell. Officials decision on any slackers who get lapped too much. IE the

goal is to keep the pack together, not slow it down. Points are Regular 5,

3,2 and 1. No doubles.

Jokers Points race is played with a deck of cards and sprints will be

based

on first rider across the line and they will gets points equal to the

value

of the card pulled. If the joker comes up it turns into a scratch race

and

all points do not count and position in the final sprint is all that

counts.

Just a little note that there more than likely (I am not planning on rain)

will be racing Friday Night.

Format will be as follows (TBD on Field size for Juniors and women)

Also remember that the women's category is now open to all novice cat 4

track riders. This means that if you are a cat 1,2, 3 or a strong and

experienced 4 you should be racing on Thursday. Any cat 4 women can show

up, but if you make it too hard then you might end up asked to move to

Thursday Night.

Racing starts at 6:30pm sharp and yes I do plan on having results done and

at the track on Friday. Masters C is generally for the wednesday night

masters riders although on occasion we will have a strong junior or two in

this group. Juniors we need at least 7 or 8 to get two groups, so start

coming out and we will split you into two groups. The next Larry Burkey

(Memorial) Junior Series Race is next week, the 23rd so this would be a good

prep.

Masters B    12 lap Point-a-lap

Women        18 lap Paced Points Race

Masters A    18 lap Progressive Points Race

Juniors          12 lap Scratch Race

Masters C     24 lap Paced Points Race

Masters B      Black Jack Points Race (Points every three, no laps, Bust

over 21)

Women         15 lap points race

Masters A     24 lap Jokers Points Race (Sprints every 3, one deep)

Juniors           Handicap Race

Masters C     20 lap Points Race

Masters B     30-40 lap Points Race

Women         Handicap

Masters A     40-50 lap Points Race

Black Jack: Reminder you can't get lapped ( or you are pulled) and points

are 7, 4 and 3 every 3 laps. After the first rider to get 21 then every

sprints for final place although points still do count, but laps do not

matter, you just can not drop off the back and get back in. If you go over

21 on the final sprint you are ok, but over 21 during the race and you are

out.

Jokers Points race is played with a deck of cards and sprints will be based

on first rider across the line and they will gets points equal to the value

of the card pulled. If the joker comes up it turns into a scratch race and

all points do not count and position in the final sprint is all that counts.
