The new Champion System leg-grippers

Try scraping off the old adhesive from your obra card and adhering to your shorts while peeing in public track standing at a stop light on highway 26.

So, we got our new kit from Champion System, and a few of us are having a serious problem with the new bib-shorts. It appears that they have changed the elastic leg-grippers from the old-fasioned bunched-up rubber thread style to the new little-dots-of-rubbery-coating-style.

The old ones worked great. The new ones act like those little rubber dots may as well be made of some kind of frictionless lubricant. When worn over knee-warmers especially, it takes all of about 5 minutes for the legs to have slid all the way up over my knee warmers and bunched around my crotch like a pair of daisy dukes. That frees up my knee warmers to comfortably settle around my ankles.

This sounds stupid, but it's driving me crazy. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know of a fix? Some kind of coating or adhesive I could apply to the leg grippers perhaps? (The ladies at Joann Fabric were no help the other night.)

I prefer Peanut M&M's, Ice Cream and Cookies to increase my leg size. All that exercise and training is tiring and cuts down on TV time.

One, it's completely impossible.
Two, it's possible, but it's not worth doing.
Three, I said it was a good idea all along.

Hi David, yes we have been using Champion System clothes since the start of
Hammer Velo, but we made a change when I went to Interbike last fall to look
at all the clothes mainif. and saw that they had went to that design and we
chose another company that has just wide lycra bands and no grippers at all,
much more comfortable for sure....as even the old style CS clothes alot of
us had issues with because they we so tight around the legs at the
grippers....good luck with resolving your problems and hopefully you can get
it fixed....Jeff
