Stripped water bottle cage mounts

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded. It seems like it is
an easy fix to complete and most bike shops should be able to do this. The 2
shops that came up the most were Bike Gallery and Southwest Bicycle. If you
are having the same problem, give either of them a call and they will be
able to fix the problem.

Again, thanks to everyone who responded.

Dave

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Stripped water bottle cage mounts

Due to my Herculean strength, I manage to strip the threads of one of the
bolt holes (is that even the proper term) for my water bottle cage on my
aluminum mtb. As such, the bolt just spins in place since the hole is
stripped. Is this something that can be fixed? I know I can zip tie the cage
to the frame, but I would like to try and fix the hole if possible.

Thanks.
Dave

Dave Feldman (former wrench at BG on Sandy) may be able to help. He
scans obra from time to time
