The Story of the Too Pretty Girl, a parable, long and rambling, but not off topic

You've seen it before, but it is hard to recognize when it's happening.

There is a girl, who like the Tiger, had no natural predators. She was well
liked. People smiled when they saw her and stopped for a visit. But like many
calm streams, this water ran deep. All was not as it seemed. There was a
problem, a tension, a disturbance in the force, if you will.

The prom was approaching, and she didn't have a date. She was alone, not uncared
for, but she wasn't getting out.

Lot's of people liked her. Lot's of people thought she would be a lot of fun at
the prom. But each of them thought to themselves privately, "Am I good enough?
Could I be the one the ask her? To take her? To be seen with her?". Each felt
not up to the task.

As each boy had these inner thoughts, none of them asked her (and being a modern
west coast prom, some girls had these same thoughts and desires, and if they
asked her the principal would have let them go to the prom together).

Friends, I am here to warn you, like a modern day Casandra, but hopefully,
unlike Casandra's curse from lovelorn Apollo, you will be able to see the truth
I speak.

The time is now, help the Too Pretty Girl avoid staying home alone on prom night
wondering why, wondering why no one asked her to go, why all those people who
like her, spend time with her and call her their friend didn't ask her to go and
have fun, see the world, enjoy what life has to offer.

So for those who still are reading, I commend you, unless you like AC/DC, in
which case, I salute you.

what is the current application of our tale? who stays home alone, unloved,
waiting longingly for someone to gently take her hand, and lead her to the
dancefloor for the slow part of Stairway to Heaven, before it gets all rocked
out and awkward for couples dancing?

For sale, 1979 Itaska RV, newly rewired, two new batteries, good tires, better
