The Swan Island Classic was held on Saturday, May 25th, 2002 and we had

advertised to all of our loyal sponsors that 100% of the proceeds were going

to the Bicycle Transportation Alliance (BTA). Well I never did officially

let everyone know who participated in this outstanding race that we gave the

BTA $2,000. Last year we gave them a check for $700.



All Swan Island Classic participants can feel good about supporting an

Alliance that supports the mission of providing safe venues for commuters,

children and cyclists.



Next year we are hoping to hook up with the Transportation Director of Swan

Island to see if we can receive some donation money to make it an even

bigger event next year.
