Last call for this weekend's training session for Mountain Bike Officiating! The first mountain bike race of the year is next weekend, Echo Red, and we're excited for a great year of OBRA racing!

This training session is for OFFICIATING Mountain Bike Races. No....I will not be training anyone how to mountain bike race! ;o)

Hello

Training for MTB races this year will take place at the Holiday Inn Express Willamette Room (They have 1 room)

10am Saturday 3/5

The Training will last from 10-2 pm with a 1/2 hr break for lunch with a Q and A session after for Melanie Rathe (Judging) and Mike Ripley ( Chief Referee training)

Each Mtb race will have a Chief ref and  Chief Judge and Assistant Judge and the scene is both enjoyable and not quite as stressful as some disciplines that you may be used to already if you have judged before.

Overview will consist of materials and hands on training to create a core group of Judges and Ref's to work at races this season.

If you are not experienced, please come. If you put on a race and have a person that would make a good Chief Ref then send him or her. If you would like to earn some weekend money and are a Bike Widow or Male version of that this may be the right position for you.

Please rsvp with me as we have room for 30 max for this training

Also, I may bring my bike, so if you are interested in a ride after....please let me know that as well.......
