Hello all-

Are any of you kind-hearted people out there traveling from Bend to the Portland area sometime this week? If so, then I would like to ask a huge favor of you.

I am planning to race Echo Red to Red this weekend—however, doing this requires me to own a mountain bike that fits (being the sprouting beanpole of a junior I am, I outgrew last year’s bike). I have agreed to buy a bike from Bend, however, I live in Camas, and I don’t want to owe my parents for 7 hours of driving…But, they would be willing to drive me around the area, and could meet up with you somewhere around Portland if this applies to you.

IF you were somehow able to bring a bike (XL, same size as my dad now—yikes) up from Bend…you would not only have the warm feeling of helping out a junior racer, but I could probably be persuaded to give you my lunch money…
