 There is another alternative.

Another alternative is to receive the "digest" format -- all the day's

messages, concatenated together into one message. This little-advertised

feature can keep you from being overwhelmed by messages. However, the mail is

sent from ob-@topica.com, so a simple "Reply" normally sends mail back to

the whole list, unless you cut/paste the address you want.



To do this, it should be sufficient to send to major-@topica.com the

following two lines:



        unsubscribe obra

        subscribe obra-digest



You get a confirmation in the mail with a key; send it back, and you're on

the digest list.
