prescription bicycling sunglasses

IF you provide the "insert" frame for your model of glasses, "39 dollar
glasses" online site does a great job. Mail order, but they are
professional and high quality. I have used them for 4 of my Rudy Project
inserts, both plastic and titanium framed.

A lot of sunglasses made for bicycling can take prescription inserts but
they vary depending on how strong your prescription is. If under 3 or 3.5,
then most brands will work. For me, I have found no sunglasses other than
the Adidas Evil Eye that will work.

Does anyone have any suggestion for prescription sunglasses for bicycling?

Visit Hillsdale Vision Clinic. Heather will provide a complete list of those
glasses that will work best with your perscription. OBRA members get a good
discount as well.

A shout out for the Oakley Half Jacket with transitions lenses.  Spendy but once
you have them you'd take on Satan in a head-to-head roller race before you'd
give them up.

If money is no object, the Oakley Jawbones
(http://www.oakley.com/jawbone) are awesome and available in lots of
prescriptions. Mine were about $350 with the Rx lenses last year. I
have to say as goofy as they look off the bike, on the bike they're
the best sunglasses I've used. They sit high on my face and are the
only shades I've found where looking up from a fully tucked position,
I don't see the tops of my frames at all. My eyebrows actually obscure
my vision before the glasses do. Perfect for road biking.

The downside is my white pair makes me look like some lame Terminator
in a 1980s movie, but they're great for riding. They don't fog up that
bad in 'cross either.
