around the course. I am working on a link to the map and topography.

Washougal road race, Washougal, WA. Oregon Cup Points Race. Starting point

is Jemtegaard Middle School located at 35300 E. Evergreen Blvd., Washougal,

WA. (Directions to Jemtegaard Middle School below).



Road Race Start Times:



JUNIORS ? 9:00 A.M. (hill climb)

CAT 4-5 ? 9:10 A.M. (1 loop)

WOMEN ? 9:20 A.M./OREGON CUP (1 loop)



PRO 1-2/OREGON CUP ? 11:00 A.M. (2 loops)

MASTERS - 12:15 P.M. (1 loop)

CAT 3 ? 12:20 P.M. (2 loops)

Road Race Course Description: Road race course is a five mile hill climb

followed by a 20 mile loop. Number of loops per category are listed above.

Distance and elevation are attached with the map. Bike race signs will be

placed along the entire route. Below is the road race route.



1. Start: Jemtegaard Middle School, Evergreen Blvd., Washougal.

2. East to Gibson Road. Ascend up Gibson Road to Turner Road.

3. Left at Turner Road to SE 410th Street.

4. Follow road as it turns into SE 30th Street. Heading west, 30th turns

into Moffet Road and SE 39th Street.

5. Turn right, heading north to SE 377th Avenue to SE 20th Street.

6. Heading west on SE 20th, turn right on SE 357th Street.

7. Follow 357th as it turns into Vernon Road. Down Vernon to Washougal

River Road. Turn left at the bridge and then a sharp right up Hughes Road.

8. Follow Hughes Road up to Bear Prairie.

9. From the top of Bear Prairie go down Skye Road back to the Washougal

River Road.

10. Right on the Washougal River Road to the Mercantile Store.

11. Left climbing up Canyon Creek to Mt. Pleasant Road. Take a right and

climb Mt. Pleasant following the road until it turns into Belle Center Road.

12. Take Belle Center Road until it runs back into Gibson Road.



Finish line is on Gibson Road before Turner. We will not be racing down

Gibson Road.



Sunday, September 15, 2001 ? downtown Camas, WA (directions below)

Downtown Dash Criterium.



Closed Criterium Course Route:



Start on 4th Avenue and Cedar Street, downtown Camas. Head one block east

to Dallas Street. Left (north) on Dallas Street up a hill (2 blocks). Take

a left on NE 6th Avenue. Go one block. Left on Cedar Street down a hill.

Right onto NE 5th Avenue. Take a left onto Birch Street. Go one block and

make a left onto 4th Avenue.



Criterium Start Times:



KIDDIE CRIT ? 12:00 p.m.

CAT 4-5 - 1:00 P.M. (40 minutes)

MASTERS (35+) ? 2:00 P.M. (40 minutes)

JUNIORS ? 3:00 P.M. (30 minutes)

CAT 3 ? 4:00 P.M. (45 minutes)

WOMEN ? 5:00 P.M. (45 minutes)

PRO 1-2 ? 9:00 P.M. (60 minutes)





DIRECTIONS TO CAMAS, WA



Directions and distances are from the I-205 Bridge

All roads lead to Downtown Camas AUG 3 to 5, 2001



Take Lewis and Clark HWY 14 (east to Camas)

Exit HWY 14 onto Exit 12. Follow 6th Avenue to Adams Street. Turn right

onto Adams Street. This is a free right and will take you in front of the

Georgia Pacific paper mill.

Go through light. Road will turn left onto NE 3rd Avenue.

Go 4 blocks and turn left onto Franklin Street.

PARKING will be available on the right in the SAFEWAY parking lot.



DIRECTIONS TO JEMTEGAARD MIDDLE SCHOOL, WASHOUGAL



Directions from I-205 Bridge

Take Lewis and Clark HWY 14 East bound.

Follow HWY 14 past Camas exit, over the bridge and all the way to Washougal,

Washington.

10.5 mi TURN LEFT onto 32ND ST

0.3 mi    TURN RIGHT onto SE EVERGREEN BLVD (This is also ?D? Street). The

Evergreen Shopping Center will be on your left which includes Safeway and

Longs Drugs. Follow SE Evergreen Blvd. 0.5 miles to   Jemtegaard Middle

School (35300 SE Evergreen Blvd, Washougal, WA) which will be on your left.



Pre-registration discount is available. Makes checks payable to the Camas

Downtown Association or CDA and your signed OBRA waiver (available at

WWW.OBRA.org) to Dr. Paul Fearn at 401 NE Fourth Ave. Camas Wa. 98607.

mention the Downtown Dash.



Important notes: Free lap rule is in effect. ? ?Standard Bicycling Racing

Rules apply.? Approved helmets required. Start times above are as stated,

however, are subject to change.



Camas ?Downtown Dash? is an Oregon Bicycling Association (OBRA) event.

Entry fee includes OBRA equipment and insurance surcharges. Insurance

sanctioning is provided by OBRA. An annual or one-day OBRA membership is

required for riders participation in the Camas ?Downtown Dash.? Annual or

one-day OBRA memberships are available at registration area. Camas

?Downtown Dash? is an OBRA points race.   Any licensed riders participating

in any of this event are not eligible for Citizens?/Kids? races.



Prizes are pledged from the Camas Downtown Association as listed above.

Merchandise prizes and primes will be determined prior to event.
