In your search for a bike, you might also try connecting with local BMX folks on Facebook. Search for "Oregon BMX."

Does you son do any BMX racing? If not, you might want to give it a try. It's lots of fun and real racing... not like the "kiddie races" at the MTB short track or cyclocross races.
