My #1 would be "The Six Day Bike Rider," starring Joe E Browne, kind of
the Breaking Away of the Thirties. There are supposedly three copies
still in existance -- two owned by the same person.

Here are my two nominations for the list.

1) Vive Le Tour An 18 minute "short" by Louis Malle done in 1962 that looks at the tour from a movie director's viewpoint, not a sports announcer's.

2) Un Jour De Fete A movie by Jacques Tati in 1949 that has some of the best slapstick humor on film. Watching Tati's "business" centered around his bicycle is fabulous.

Both of these films are hard to find, but worth the effort.
