Cycle commuters: Get your Yellow Stripe and be seen! The Yellow Stripe

is being sold as a fundraiser for a high school OISRA girls cross

country ski racing team. The Yellow Stripe is a 4-5 ft long loop of

screaming yellow 2" wide reflective tape sewn to wear diagonally

shoulder to waist as an abbreviated version of the famous British Sam

Browne belt. It is highly visible day and night. It is little enough to

fold up and stick in your pocket. It transforms that dark blue

windbreaker into a highly visible piece of gear. Suggested donation is

$10, though larger donations are of course welcome. You can make your

own stripe more cheaply, with reflective tape @ $1.50/ft (no discount

for bulk) from Sanderson's Safety Supply, but not by much, and you miss

out on the teen and parent sweatshop labor. Ours is tax deductible to

boot. We will have the Yellow Stripe in front of Tualatin REI Tues

8/27, 10-2, Wed 8/28, 6-9 PM, at the Hillclimb on Sunday, and we can

drop off at the BTA. Orders of 10 or more can be delivered to Portland

businesses. Sept 2-30 is the BTA Bike Commute Challenge, so get your

Yellow Stripe now and be safe! We also make dogggie neck stripes and

kiddie stripes and ankle/arm bands on request. Email Lindsey at

bonbo-@aol.com or call (503) 635 3543 to order your Yellow Stripe!

   Include your height. Thank you.
