Wow. Ok, I'll let you know how little you know about Collegiate Cycling.
First off, we have multiple kits this year because teammates have to use
older ones. Once we crash, none of us buy new kits and just recycle
teammates from years past. We have 2 different designs from Hincapie this
year, one for the skinsuit and one for the top and bottom. Cost was not
extra, we didn't spend on 2 different ones.
Nike warm ups are donated. We don't buy those. All club teams get them for
free. Again, wrong.
New trailer this year was part of the budget. We were promised that we could
save money on it by towing it with a passenger van, and not a truck. We'd
need one less vehicle, saving us almost 300 a week. We were then told that
we needed a truck a week before collegiate started (hence not budgeting for
it), so we had to spend a lot more on travel, which is the real reason we're
lacking funds. Again, you have no idea about collegiate cycling and funds.
We didn't over spend. We've cleaned up basketball courts even after the home
opener for the new Matthew Night Arena. Yes, that was a sellout crowd. We
brought 26 people, were there till 1 am cleaning popcorn and spilt soda by
lazy basketball fans. For 300 dollars. So don't tell me about the hardships
of fundraising. We've done it all.
We've budgeted and done everything right, so I'd suggest checking your
sources before posting an email that you clearly know nothing about.
