Mountain Bikers
The course is firming up nicely and while the trails will be a tad bit
slippery in spots (panama canal) the roads are the main benifactor of this
nice weather to take away the wheel sucking effect the moist gravel can
have.
- Yes Cross bikes can come and have won many a division before
- race temps should be great at 50, with a high of 55 or so and plenty of
hills and protection deep in the woods to keep you safe
- 1st climb will warm you up with 700 or so feet and 3 miles
Things to bring:
A stowable Light weight jacket (you never know if will start raining)
arm warmers, knee warmers, and a smile
I posted a updated map on the Mudslinger page at
www.mudslingerevents.comand I hope to see all of you this Saturday.
PS
If you do pre-ride before saturday the course is marked 90% as of
wednesday and please be aware that logging is currently going on and that
you must have a permit from Starker Forests for the Tum Tum unit. Its free
and a great privilage to recreate on private land and to build trails as
well.
