Yes. USAC makes this, as well as many other things, too difficult for promoters.

So MTB XC Nationals are in Sun Valley this July, but you need to qualify to be able to ride. There's 3 qualifying races in ID, one next month up in Wenatchee, and none in OR. Because there are no USAC sanctioned MTB events in Oregon for a variety of good reasons. Go to the Wenatchee event. It is super fun and worth the trip regardless!
