Those that were at the track clean up session last weekend know that we
scrapped a lot of material off the track surface but weather prevented us
from patching or even cleaning the scraped paint off the tract. Stewart
Campbell has generously volunteered his time to help with this project. He
spent the entire day yesterday power washing the surface. He is planning on
being there Saturday and Sunday to clean up the paint chips and start
patching. He needs some more help. If you could be available to help him
please send him a note at stewartcycling@yahoo.com. I expect it would also
be OK if you just showed up. Bring a bring a push broom, dust pan and a gas
leaf blower if you have them.
I have to point out that Stewart is not a track racer. In fact, I don't
think he ever saw the track before this past Monday. It is great that
people like him can come out of the greater bike racing community to help.
Working all together we will be able to get the track ready for the start of
racing this next week.
