I know he is not likely to toot his own horn, but Guinness rider, OBRA member, and River City employee, Mark Gyulafia raced in Montreal this past week at le Defi Sportif as well as the Challenge Longhi road race. He won the Longhi circuit race and placed 2nd behind a National Team member in the Defi Sportif RR.

He also placed 2nd in the ITT and I placed 6th.

Both races were paracycling events and had UCI points available. The more points gained by a rider means the more athletes their country can take to the Paralympic Games.

I was very happy to meet Mark as I had no clue there was a 3rd paracyclist in the Portland area. I think Mark impressed the National Team coaches and I wanted to wish him luck in his quest to represent the USA.

Way to go Mark and way to represent the PNW!
