Subject: Pearl District Crit - Women's Race?
To: Kenji Sugahara
Kenji, can you send this out to the women's e-mail list?
Ladies,
2011 will mark the start of yet another criterium in downtown Portland
with the Pearl District Crit. It is going to be in the evening of
August 21st and will be exciting course that includes two blocks of
cobble stones. As we are planning for the evening, I would like to
include at Cat 1/2/3 women's category with some very good cash payout.
But I need to know if there are enough women interested in racing a
technical downtown crit (think something like the Portland Twilight)
to fill a field and make an exciting race for spectators. If there is
not, I am sure that a Masters field will fill up.
I would much rather put on a Women's race, but need to know that the
racers in Oregon will actually show up to make the race spectacular
for the spectators and sponsors.
Please e-mail me back directly at srbeards@gmail.com with your
comments and thoughts.
Thanks,
-Steven Beardsley
