Several emails have reminded me that trackies really don't like to get up
early in the morning, unless they can be sure that the velodrome will be dry
and ready to race. So after seeing the forecasts and/or consulting from
Dave Saleski. Matt Zafino, Weather Underground. Natl Weather Service, and my
son Marc (he's majoring in atmospheric sciences), it does appear that the
track will be wet between the hours of 9am - 2pm on Saturday, with about an
80% chance of rain. Between 5am - 8am the chance of rain will be closer to
100%.

So the EK Race on May 7 is CANCELLED. But don't worry, we've rescheduled for
Sunday, May 22. Same categories and races. And hopefully better, dry
weather.

And so I give you back a few extra hours of sleep tomorrow.

Chocolate milk! OK, I'll still be out there around 9am with those little
half pints!
