In the USCF days (which OBRA later followed the "guidelines" in some areas),
the Senior State RR was "supposed to be" around 100 mi. Pretty universal.
As a skinny little first yr Senior in 1987 in Wyoming, despite being off the
back, I was dang proud to make it through my 1st 100 mile test. It did kind
of help set it apart and assure that guys like Richard and Mike and later Ed
and Dusty were fighting it out at the end as the distance naturally weeded
some of the others. Including me!
