Gregg,
Be Careful.
The person selling you the insurance may be honest and candid, but ultimately,
they are not the person who decides when and if to pay a claim.
So it is possible that later someone may say that b/c you made $5 at PIR when
you placed 3rd that one time, you are excluded from benefits.

Subject: Re: [OBRA Chat] Extra Accident Insurance for Racers/Riders
I fully support supplemental insurance however your info about Aflac is
inaccurate. Before I started supplemental insurance with Aflac I was concerned
about the paragraph about sporting events. I researched thus and it only
pertains if you are being paid to race ie professional, us mere amateurs who pay
to race would be covered by Aflac if injured during a race.
So please everyone consider supplemental injury insurance especially when racing
but make sure you read the fine print and know coverage limitations.

As racing season kicks in, I'm starting to be grateful for my extra accident
insurance. Basically, if I get in a wreck-- riding, racing, walking down the
stairs-- this helps pay my co-pays, deductibles and gives me some supplemental
income.
