I was there too, in the first group of about 40 that got stopped. I don't think anyone in our group got a ticket, but did talk to one person later who, in addition to herself, said 7 people got a $317 ticket. Unbelievable. It's an organized ride, and maybe helpful if someone had been there to make sure riders turned correctly and stopped at the stop sign. He was right in warning riders about blowing through the stop sign, which is what he said, but it was one block from the rest stop/feeding area, and in a neighborhood. I have really mixed feelings about it, but do feel quite bad for those ticketed. Also, at one point he stopped two riders and someone had to point out that he was looking down at his clipboard and couldn't possibly have seen if they had stopped or not stopped and in all fairness, wasn't right for him to stop them and give them a citation. He said "Ill review it", not sure what that meant.
