Chip on carbon question

If you want to bring your bike down to Ruckus Components, we can do a quick
inspection for you and let you know the best plan of action to take.

It is generally a good idea to seal up any chip in the carbon, nail polish,
super glue, or hardware store epoxy works well. Just make sure it is cleaned
out well and dry.

Carbon filaments act like wicks for water and your frame could eventually
absorb water, which could lead to delamination.

If you have any other questions you can email me at
shawn@ruckuscomponents.com

Hi OBRA family,
I went for a long ride yesterday and had the chain catch funny. Possibly chain suck. After inspection today I noticed a small ship on the chain stay. It took off some paint but does not appear to be compromising any structural integrity. My question: Is there anything like nail polish or something like that, that you all apply on small chips to prevent the chip from growing? Also, besides making sure everything is in good operation, do you think it is worth while to put something like lizard skins on the stay? I appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

-
John
