Looks like Lake Oswego is getting a new police chief! He is a native
Oregonian who spent his entire police career with departments on the San
Francisco Peninsula, in Santa Clara County. He has been police chief for
both Los Altos and Sunnyvale.

Both Los Altos and Sunnyvale have bike lanes and a lot of bicyclist usage.
Sunnyvale in particular has long had an extensive bikeway system. This
guy has to know about bicycle issues!

There is also the California law which allows bicyclists to "run"
malfuntioning traffic signals when safe. This could be a turn for the
better for Lake Oswego?
