Thanks for all the kind thoughts, I was within a few inches of the white
line on SE Foster, on the short bit between 172nd and Ritchie. I know it's
a dangerous stretch and I'm not out to get the guy, let's assume it was an
accident for now.
For those of you who know/remember me, yesterday while riding my bike, I was
struck from behind by a large pickup truck . He just drifted over and hit me
at about 35-40 mph according to the off duty firefighter who was immediate
behind him, I never saw it coming.
I've got 2 fractured vertebrae but will walk out of here (OHSU) in a few
days, I never lost consciousness and was wearing a helmet. Of course the
bike and helmet are trashed as are all my clothing, including shoes.
Just heard the sheriff is investigating and may bring criminal charges.
That's all I've got to say for now.
