The problem is already ended (If you travel enough for it to really be a

problem). I have been racing for more than 2 years on a bike that uses

normal wheels and is in every way a normal bike...except for the fact that

the frame comes apart and thus it fits into a REGULATION size suitcase. No

charges, no damage waivers, no hassles, and no problems.

I have heard that there may be a new bike coming onto the market which will

end the problem of flying with a bike. Mikkel may get to test race it. It

will have 650c wheels and be able to be broken down and flown in a larger

suitcase--no extra bike fee. After Mikkel's less than nice experience both

with flying with a bike and shipping a bike this sounds like a really good

option. I will keep you posted as we learn more.
