What Peter said! Baker City is the most supportive and friendly town you will ever race in. With 4 stages, the race has something for every kind of racer. If you feel like a rented mule when you finish, you'll realize that even rented mules can have fun, be proud of their accomplishments, and get tremendous friendly support through the whole experience. I'm already at the bottom of the rider list (pre-race GC) but still looking forward to a great race. Sign up!

Ernie, his crew of volunteers, the city, the high school volleyball team, and many others really put in the effort to make this an amazing race with great support, atmosphere, and no troubles for the racers.
Speaking for myself, in the last ten years I've done well there, and I've also been beaten like a rented mule, but it's always been an incredibly fun experience.
It's also really entertaining to listen to racers unfamiliar with OBRA express amazement at how well-run and organized things are with fast and accurate results. That's just how we roll, but it's nice to get a reminder of how good we have it.
