Tegaderm or equivalent?

Michael Medina

2011-06-11

Thanks everyone for the Tegaderm suppliers, I had a friend pick some
up for me at Beaverton Pharmacy as I couldn't get any Walgreens to
admit they have it.
Finally have my wounds properly dressed and much much more comfortable
than the last few days.

Michael.

I need something in the 8x8 inch range o_O
So I probably have to do Beaverton Pharmacy and since these things
"should" stop oozing soon anyway, I'll just have to get retail and
order a box for later when I get paid.

Thanks again everyone!
Michael

I think Mark means Walgreens. (There _is_ a RiteAid on SE 39th & Division but I
don't know if they have it.)

Last I checked they had it at Walgreens at 39th and Holgate. The size they carry
isn't huge, though.

Also, Walgreens should have it in their first aid section. Also, if you ask
a Walgreens pharmacist, they can also point you to some stuff called duoderm
(I think, it's a large pad, maybe 6x6" that is made for covering wounds)
that is good for really large road rash patches. They carry it behind the
counter, or they used to.

Maybe they are out b/c of my fall 2 weeks ago.

Rite Aid carries it (at least here in Bend they do). You will have
to look closely since it's repackaged and doesn't often say clearly
it's Tegaderm on the box (one size said it on the front, another in
the fine print on the side panel). But if you open the box the
individual wrappers clearly are Tegaderm. Look for descriptions on
the box like Flexible, Waterproof, Breathable.

Note that most store employees don't know what it is. I even asked
the pharmacy people, was told no, and then found it myself literally
within site of the counter.

One, it's completely impossible.
Two, it's possible, but it's not worth doing.
Three, I said it was a good idea all along.
