I would use something like Neosporin and a loose gauze for now until
the scab
softens, then move to the T-derm.

Out of neglect, my elbow (the least of my rash) got scabbed over and
it's pretty thick. Painful to move now and cracking.
Can I apply vaseline/water, soak the scab off, or some other
alternative and go back to Tegaderm or am I stuck with this?
