because someone looks more like me doesn't mean they will necessarily be
more like me or have any idea about what I need or want. I am pretty
sure Ryan Trebon could help me pick a bike that fits me. I have known
some really mean female gynecologists.

There are shop employees and owners that are jerks and don't know what
they are doing of both genders. Same is true for doctors. Gender is
not so good a predictor for knowledge or empathy.
