Hi Everyone,
With CX season right around the corner, I have decided to sell my Litespeed
Appalachian CX/ Touring bike because it is just a little too small for me.
This is either a 2000 or 2001 titanium frame made by Litespeed before the
Lynskey family sold the company. This is a true touring that is ideal for
long randonnuer style riding. I used it for CX racing for 2 years before
making it my permanent rain bike for the last 5 years (how can you beat
titanium for a rain bike- no rust and a smooth ride). Below is the parts
spec:
Frame: Litespeed Appalachian frame, 55cm, 3/2.5 Ti frame
Fork: Alpha Q CX fork. Full carbon blades and steerer tube. Steerer tube is
1 inch. Also, will include original steel fork that came with the bike as it
has a slightly different rake than the carbon fork and is better suited to
long touring rides.
Headset: Chris King No Threadset. 1 inch, black
Bars: ITM shallow drop
Stem: Ritchey Pro- 120mm
Shifters: Ultegra 9 speed
Brakes: Paul's Neo Retro canti's- front and rear
Seatpost: Control Tech
Saddle: Flite style saddle
Cranks: Ultegra 10 speed cranks with DA7800 53T ring (Ultegra 39T inner)
BB: DA7800 external BB (runs totally smooth- pulled off my road bike after I
switched that to a CK BB. This has been sitting in my parts bin ever since.
Never ridden in the rain)
Chain: DA 9 speed chain
Cassette: Ultegra 9 speed
Front derailleur- Ultegra 9 speed
Rear derailleur- Dura-Ace 7700
Pedals: Ultegra SPD (standard Look cleat style)
Wheel: Ultegra hubs, Open Pro rims, Michelin Mud tires (these were my pit
wheels for the last few years and are in great shape. Perfect primary race
wheels for CX)
The bike is super smooth to ride over the rough stuff and is great for all
day riding. As my body positioned has changed over the years, I have found
that the bike is just a bit too small for me. I am 5'11 with a 32 inch
inseam if that helps. That being said, I have a funky body position and find
I need to be a bit more scrunched up than normal to be effective.
I am asking $1500 for the complete bike, extra fork and can even throw in a
pair of pit wheels if you want. I will entertain offers as well, so try me
and see if we can make something happen.
If interested, please reply off list. I am located in Beaverton but can meet
up somewhere depending on drive distance. Pictures available upon request.
Thanks.
