Hi folks,

You'll be 4 up sprinting in no time. And then critting (I just made that
verb up) for piles of cash and prizes the week after, so mark the calendars
for July 9th and July 16th, respectively.

The official website for the race is here:
http://www.ironcladcycling.com/ironclad-criterium-and-street-sprints/

It needs some tweaking yet, but bookmark it and stay tuned. We're working
out OBRA registration details as well.

We have some changes to each event:

The Street Sprints now dubbed "SPEED NEVER SLEEPS" will be LONGER this year.
Saturday Evening, 5-9. Last year the condo building on the northern edge of
NW 13th was under construction, this year it is complete and the road is
ours to use. This will allow us to adjust the finish line so it's right in
the meaty part of the spectator "grandstands" where most folks gathered on
those shipping docks. Now, spectators will be right up against the action.
We haven't measured yet, but we're thinking about an extra 50 meters of
sprinting room. Also, instead of "one and done" format, we're going to see
an A and a B bracket - each four person heat will send two to the A, and two
to the B, we'll seed each bracket and duke it out, so everyone is guaranteed
at least TWO sprints and we will keep the racing cheap - $12! The format
will again be OPEN men and OPEN women. 1's may race 5's or any combo
therein. It will be a blind lottery draw so anything can happen. And you
lower categories don't despair - anything can and will happen, slipped
shifts, chain skips, - we saw a few last year so anybody can beat anybody,
you just have to line up and go! We will do assisted starts again. The Taco
Pedalers will be there with their bicycle borne tasty tacos. Bridgeport is
on board with drink specials and food discounts. The prize list is from here
to Eugene so come get some.

The Ironclad Criterium is now on SATURDAY EVENING 4-9pm. We have a tighter
schedule, so fields will be BIG and the competition GREAT, we're making a
nice fight card for you guys and gals to come slug it out. We're promoting
the event through the local paper as well as distributing flyers to get
(hopefully) a big crowd on hand to watch. The local businesses are pumped
for the folks to be wandering downtown Hillsboro, there'll be lots of
specials for racers at the bars, restaurants, coffee/candy shop and more!
Bring the family! There are no course changes. Flat, fast, wide open
rectangle - 4 right turns. Very beginner friendly as well. There will be a
kiddie kilo as well - heats determined very very soon! We're working hard to
iron out the last details. $22 pre reg, $25 day of. Again, lots of cash and
prizes on hand and we're hoping for big crowds, too.

Stay tuned to the website.

We realize you have a choice when choosing your racing, so from everyone
here on the flight deck we'd like to thank you for racing Ironclad Airlines.
We strive to make your race as safe and enjoyable as possible, as well to
attempt to make all of us look cool despite the silly pants and tap shoes.
