Portland, OR - The Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge returns to Portland July
15-17. Elite men, elite women and masters 40+ men from North America
converge on the steep banks of the cigar shaped Alpenrose Veldorome to
compete for $13,000.
All of the action gets started with the “Battle on the Bricks” when these
riders will face off in a Roller Race tournament at Pioneer Square in
downtown Portland from 11am-2pm Wednesday, July 13. Before the tournament
gets started, regular people will have the opportunity to challenge friends
or the racers to a one-on-one duel. There event also includes a track stand
competition.
The AVC gets underway Friday afternoon with timed events and continues
Friday evening with the 1000m and 500m timed events and mass start
qualifiers for men and women.

Onsite registration starts Thursday, July 14 at 5:30 p.m. and is $20 per
event.
Pre-registration is required for all pre-qualified riders (Cat 1 men and Cat
1-2 women) for mass start events.
